CODE OF PRACTICE – DO YOU HAVE IT?

CSA Members are reminded of their obligation to ensure that the Association's Code of Practice is available on their own website where they have a site, and to provide a copy of the Code of Practice promptly if requested.Copies of the Code can be obtained from CSA Head of Office or by Clicking Here!

The information contained within this section of our website offers some basic advice about debt and provides some simple help in terms of dealing with your finances and any money problems. There are two important messages we would like you to take away from this section of the website:

  • Firstly, not to panic about your problems; and
  • Secondly, that your problems do however need to be dealt with.

There are a range of organisations who can provide free help and advice – we provide links to many of them within this section.

Citizens Advice Bureau can offer advice face to face (http://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/).  Both the Consumer Credit Counselling Service (http://www.cccs.co.uk/) and National Debtline (http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/) offer ‘over the telephone’ counselling.  CCCS can also offer advice online via their debt remedy service which can be found on their website above.
