Intrum UK appoints new Director of Risk and Compliance

Intrum UK, part of the Intrum Group, Europe’s leading credit management firm, is pleased to announce the appointment of Sam Reed as Director of Risk and Compliance, to strengthen the leadership team’.

Sam has held several senior positions in the Financial Services Sector during the past 15 years with industry and professional services roles. Prior to joining Intrum UK, Sam worked at Lookers Plc where she held a similar position and at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) as a Financial Services Risk and Compliance expert within their risk and regulatory practice. Sam is passionate about making a difference in society and holds a Board Director role for the charity Smart Works based in Greater Manchester, who help women into employment to change the trajectory of their lives.

Sam steps into the role following Suzanne Pearson’s move to the Intrum Board as Non-Exec Director, having completed six successful years as Risk and Compliance Director for the business.

Sam’s expertise in helping businesses embrace customer-centric approaches to processes and strategies aligns with Intrum’s Purpose, to Lead the Way to a Sound Economy, particularly during a time of economic uncertainly and the UK’s regulatory focus on Consumer Duty.

This announcement’s release aligns with Intrum’s annual launch of the European Consumer Payment Report (ECPR) where 20,000 people from 20 countries are surveyed to produce insights into European consumers’ everyday lives; their spending and ability to manage their household finances on a monthly basis. The field work for the study was conducted between 19 July and 1 September 2023 and the results can viewed on the www.Intrum.com website here.
